Using Day Bloom

Terms of Use

Last updated 8 August 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Day Bloom app, widgets, website, and related services. Day Bloom is operated by Edwin Chan (“Day Bloom,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By downloading, purchasing, or using Day Bloom, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Day Bloom.

A gentle app, clear terms

Day Bloom is a personal reflection and growth tool. You remain responsible for your choices, your content, your device backups, and the way you use the app. Day Bloom is not medical care, therapy, or an emergency service.

1. Eligibility

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms in your country. If you are under the age of legal majority, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you. Day Bloom is not directed to children under 13.

2. Your license to use Day Bloom

We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Day Bloom on Apple-branded devices you own or control, subject to these Terms, Apple’s Usage Rules, and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (“Apple Standard EULA”). Day Bloom is licensed, not sold.

The Apple Standard EULA applies to the app license. If these Terms conflict with the Apple Standard EULA on a matter governed by that EULA, the Apple Standard EULA controls.

3. Personal-growth and wellbeing disclaimer

Day Bloom provides prompts, reflection tools, reminders, and general wellbeing content for informational and personal-use purposes only. It does not provide medical, psychological, therapeutic, legal, or other professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Do not rely on Day Bloom for emergencies or time-sensitive care. If you may harm yourself or someone else, or need urgent support, contact local emergency services or an appropriate qualified professional immediately.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the reflections, photos, recordings, dreams, and other content you create in Day Bloom. You are responsible for that content, for keeping appropriate device backups, and for ensuring you have the right to use anything you add or share.

Day Bloom is primarily designed to store your content on your device. If you choose to send content to us for support, you grant us a limited permission to review and process it only as needed to respond, troubleshoot, protect the service, and meet legal obligations.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Day Bloom for an unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose;
  • interfere with the app, website, security, or another person’s use;
  • reverse engineer, copy, modify, distribute, resell, or create derivative works from Day Bloom except where law expressly permits;
  • introduce malicious code or attempt unauthorized access; or
  • infringe intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights.

6. Day Bloom Plus subscriptions

Some features require a Day Bloom Plus auto-renewable subscription. The purchase screen shows the subscription period, price, currency, trial eligibility, and features before you subscribe.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation.
  • A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends at the price shown for renewal.
  • You can manage or cancel through your App Store subscription settings. Deleting Day Bloom does not cancel a subscription.
  • A free trial, if offered, converts to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends.

Apple handles billing, refunds, and payment disputes under its terms and applicable law. Prices and available plans may change, but changes to an existing subscription take effect only as permitted by Apple and with any notice required by law.

7. Updates, availability, and changes

We may update, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features to improve Day Bloom, maintain security, comply with law, or respond to technical and business needs. We do not promise that every feature will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device or iOS version.

We will not intentionally remove access to paid functionality in a way that violates applicable law or Apple’s subscription requirements.

8. Third-party services

Day Bloom relies on services provided by Apple, Firebase, PostHog, RevenueCat, and website infrastructure providers. Their services may be governed by separate terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control, but this does not limit any responsibility that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Intellectual property

Day Bloom, including its software, interface, artwork, prompts, branding, text, and other materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Day Bloom or its materials to you.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Day Bloom is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, quiet enjoyment, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee any particular personal, emotional, health, or productivity outcome.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. In those places, the exclusions apply only to the extent permitted, and your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Day Bloom and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from your use of or inability to use Day Bloom.

Our total liability for claims relating to Day Bloom will not exceed the amount you paid for Day Bloom during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limit does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including certain liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, personal injury, or mandatory consumer rights.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Day Bloom at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, or misuse the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—will continue to apply.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in Malaysia will have jurisdiction, except where the mandatory law of your residence gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Day Bloom changes. We will post the new version here and revise the “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where reasonably possible or legally required. Continuing to use Day Bloom after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
